Connecting Communities, Promoting Safety, Supporting Young People
6VT YOUTH CRP
Our Community Rail Partnership connects young people with Scotland’s railways through creative projects, skills development, and community based activities. The programme offers opportunities to learn about rail safety, explore local routes, take part in art and heritage projects, and build confidence through hands-on experiences. It’s a positive way for young people to engage with their surroundings, meet others, and develop new interests.

The Community Rail Partnership is powering on with a fantastic range of projects and building networks across the railways. We collaborate with ScotRail, CrossCountry Trains, TransPennine Express, LNER and other community rail partners across the country.

We work with a wide range of groups, from primary school-aged children to intergenerational participants, giving young people the chance to lead and take part in meaningful railway projects.

Through these initiatives, we aim to make rail travel more welcoming, promote rail safety, connect communities, and give young people practical experience in shaping the railway network.

6VT CRP is hosted by 6VT Edinburgh City Youth Cafe.
